I introduced about initial sets about death tower. In match, you have to set puyos as fast as possible. In particular top player's match often depends on 1 frame loss. To set initial puyos faster, death tower player have various mind.
These are ways to set initial puyo
Normal tower
It is most basic position. L base is at 3-4 column and ignision point is at left.
Most of player use only counterwise rotation to decrease mistake. If counterwise and uncounterwise are mixed, player is often confused.
First, you put counterwise rotation botton once with dropping puyo to bottom, then you check a next puyo set.
For example ABBC, you shift puyos 1 column right and drop it. You do same thing when tsumo is ABBC.
ABAA, you put counterwise botton once.
ABAC, like this, of course you use only counter rotation. You need 3 counterwise rotations and shifting to 2 columns right.
Double of initial set is always set at 4 column.
Reverse tower
It is mirror form against normal tower.
Benefit is that you can earn advantage by few side moving. but axis of tower is at 3 column so you have weak resistance for burying and rash attack.
Both Sword tower
It has normal tower and reverse tower. The reason why a player use both tower is to decrease rotation and to use only counterwise rotation.
For exsample...
Normal tower requires 3 rotation and 2 shiftings.
But reverse tower requires only 1 shifting.
This is merit of both sword's initial sets by selecting normal or reverse.
Shifted tower
Shifted tower is advanced style. It is very difficult because sometimes you come across to initial set reqirering giving up death tower. When not initial set is appeared, you have to make 4-5 chains.
Initial sets of shifted tower are very simple. Dobble is set as same as normal tower, 4 column. Other sets is just put on 3-4 column.
Shifted tower has a spase at back of tower, so you can transfer from tower to chains easily.
